Hi, I’m steevy–
welcome to the haus.

“I don’t need therapy, I have you guys!” - Carrie Bradshaw

Whether your friends or partner(s) have tapped out of being your therapist, or if you just need a fresh, safe space to dive deeper - I get it. I curate an atmosphere where clients feel heard, and I want therapy to be a place for you to show up as your authentic self.

I’m physically located in Brooklyn, but my practice is exclusively virtual, giving us the opportunity to explore your challenges from the safety and comfort of your own home.

My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and compassionate place where individuals and couples from all over New York and Florida can get encouragement and support as they navigate through the challenges of life. No matter what you’re going through, there is hope. Let’s collaborate on your healing process - contact me to set up a free consultation.

My Style

My goal is never to give advice, but to guide you with the right questions and reflection so that you feel confident and empowered owning your own choices.

I am passionate about working with a wide variety of people, regardless of culture, gender, religion, life circumstance, or sexual orientation 🏳️‍🌈. My therapy and counseling practice is intentional, rooted in holistic empowerment, empathetic healing and self-awareness, and I strive to brings compassion, warmth, and humor into my sessions. I am a human first and a therapist second 😃 We will create goals together and reflect often so you can see your own progress.

I often say that therapy is like a new skincare routine - sometimes things may get a little worse before they get better as things surface, but once the ingredients start working together, you will have results that you notice and a new glow to go with it.

Fun fact: prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I enjoyed a 13 year corporate career in global marketing and International business, leading successful and highly visible go-to-market product launches for companies like Snapchat 👻 and Disney.

  • “Steevy is the best therapist I have ever worked with. I have had a handful of therapists over the past 7 years as I have moved around the country, and she met me as my most volatile season of life. I was dealing with a tremendous amount of loss and change, and have pretty specific needs. Steevy always meets me where I am at and gives me tools to move forward. She is incredible with LGBT+ patients (something I have searched for and needed desperately for years) and does a lot of work in her own time so that I do not have to spend time explaining queer terminology. She also remembers virtually every person I've shared about in my sessions (hundreds), so I never waste time re-explaining (wildly impressive). She is also young and socially aware in a way that allows her to be level headed in understanding the dynamics of a friend group or interaction that requires some nuance. She also allows me and my wife to explore uncomfortable topics in a very safe and supportive way, including things like ethical non-monogamy, yet she never judges whether or not we move forward with any relationship dynamics. My wife is a trans woman, and we started dating prior to her transition and my coming out as well. Steevy has navigated all the large changes in our relationship with absolute grace and care in a way that has really shaped the foundation of our strong marriage. She has helped us navigate very specific situations that require a lot of knowledge, sensitivity, and strength. I could not be more impressed by her!” –LL

  • “Steevy is a confident, approachable, knowledgeable, and understanding therapist. She hits all the boxes. Through our sessions over the last 2+ years, my perspective on relationships (intimate, familial, or friendly) has been reshaped for the better. She has helped me make countless aha moments- highly recommended.” –CO

  • “Steevy has been an exceptional couples therapist for my wife and me. Her approach made us immediately feel at ease during an incredibly challenging time in our lives. As a trans woman in the first few years of my transition, the dynamic of my relationship was ever evolving and growing while my wife also explored new territory in her queer identity. Steevy always met us exactly where we were, made us feel free from judgment, and equipped us with the skills to not only address issues but also diagnose them proactively in the future. I cannot recommend Steevy enough for LGBTQ+ couples and straight couples alike. We genuinely reached a point in our therapy journey where we would brainstorm issues we could work through even though we actually felt great -- we just always looked forward to our sessions with Steevy and knew some wisdom would come up no matter what was discussed. She left an indelible mark on our hearts and is someone we can truly say made our lives better.” –JE

  • “Steevy has uncanny ability to create a safe, judgment-free space where both partners feel heard and validated. Her empathetic approach, coupled with her sharp insights, allowed myself and my partner to peel back layers of miscommunication and (re)discover our connection. Steevy's therapeutic techniques are both diverse and effective. She tailored each session to our specific needs, and her homework assignments were particularly transformative, giving us practical tools to navigate conflicts and strengthen our bond outside of therapy. Steevy has a gift for gently challenging destructive patterns without assigning blame, fostering an atmosphere of mutual growth and understanding. Thanks to Steevy's guidance, we've not only overcome our initial challenges but have developed a deeper, more resilient relationship than we ever thought possible. Her impact extends far beyond our weekly sessions, influencing how we communicate, resolve conflicts, and support each other in our daily lives.” –TT

  • “Steevy has been so helpful and integral in my growth and bettering of myself. She has a judgement-free, compassionate and thought provoking approach to our sessions that has worked so well for me. I am so thankful for how helpful she has been to my outlook on my relationships, not just romantic and platonic but my relationship with myself, and cannot recommend her enough!” –MM

  • “Steevy is an exceptional therapist. I have been working with her for over a year and have made lots of positive progress since. She’s helped me with anxiety, depression, family conflict, and relationships, and has provided me with tools to restructure elements of my life in order to reduce stress and better show up for myself with intentionality. Steevy is compassionate, patient and encouraging and offers a great balance of non judgemental support as well as actionable feedback. She is communicative, consistent and reliable. She is also very knowledgeable, and presents information in a succinct and accessible way. She is great at making important connections and asking difficult questions, enabling me to learn things about myself that I wouldn’t have otherwise.” –BC
